*Sparkll was founded in 2021 by me, Ellen Steenbeek. *Sparkll fulfills my passion for growth and development and my drive to help people achieve greater success. I advise and contribute to the design of organizational change processes and I guide and coach employees and managers in new ways of working. This gives me energy and I have learned that I am good at it.
I am an international, strategic business partner & people professional. Over the past twenty-five years I have worked for organizations including Teva Pharmaceuticals, The Greenery and Schouten & Nelissen consultancy. I have served a great variety of customers, such as Akzo Nobel, ING and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, small and mid-sized enterprises (SMEs) and start-ups.
In my roles as trainer, facilitator, coach, people developer and strategic HR leader I have had the great opportunity to work with many special people in all parts of the world.
My focus on results and my drive to help others find success define in my work. The years and my experience have tempered me, allowing me a balanced view and the ability to integrate issues at organizational, team and individual level. Fortunately my curiosity has only increased over time, I still find it fascinating to discover what moves people. And I am only satisfied when all these insights, these sparks, have subsequently been translated into very concrete actions in daily work. This is what leads to successful people in successful organizations.

Strategic Business Partner
I like to work as a Business Partner on strategic, organizational or leadership challenges.
- In the past I led the organizational design process in transformations, following an acquisition and a joint venture. I was responsible for not only the design, but also the implementation of the new operating model in various European countries.
- I also facilitated the redesign of organizational processes several times, leading the international design workshops.
- I have coached many Executives, both on business issues with people impact and in the field of personal leadership
Change Management
I really enjoy effectively designing and implementing change interventions, focusing on what people actually need to get started in a change.
- I designed and implemented change management- and culture programs during acquisitions.
- I also designed and facilitated Executive Team meetings in which strategy was translated into daily practice.
- During the transition to a more branded business I built a Brand Academy program that enhanced the marketing knowledge of 200+ commercial professionals through assessments and training.
Over the course of my career my contributions have varied from 1 on 1 coaching to designing and leading large-scale interventions with 300+ participants, and everything in between.
By always working very closely with the business, I am able to really create movement.
HR Leader
My background in Leadership & Development and in particular my knowledge and experience in Performance Management, Talent Management and Employee engagement, enables me, as HR Leader, to make an important contribution to management teams in strengthening the organization. In this leadership role I further professionalized HR functions by coaching HR advisors and by further optimizing HR processes, including the transformation to a Regional Shared Service Center model.
How it started
As a child I dreamed of saving people in Africa. According to plan I went to Tanzania in the early 1990’s to do research into the coordination of AIDS-programs. After a year of work and research I took stock: I was one super experience richer and one super illusion poorer.
I believe, for people to be successful they must be empowered to make change. At the time, this was not the way of development aid models.
And I learned that I am very result-oriented; and I concluded this was not an environment where I could be successful.
All important lessons which still define my professional choices.
